Managing the challenges and opportunities associated with successive waves of change can take a toll at work and at home. Physical intelligence arms us with techniques to help us thrive in the midst of change—leading ourselves, our teams, and our organizations to higher levels of success. Historically, physical intelligence has been restricted to the worlds of sport and art. Claire Dale and Patricia Peyton, authors of Physical Intelligence (2019), believe it should be accessible to everyone. They have spent 30 years helping industry leaders achieve commercial success and a deeper sense of self-awareness and fulfillment through physical intelligence. In this experiential session, they address how physical intelligence techniques (easily incorporated into everyday life) can help you (and your teams) stress less, achieve more, and live more happily.

During this talk, you will be introduced to Physical Intelligence, including the four elements of Strength, Flexibility, Resilience and Endurance and the eight key chemicals we can actively manage by using Physical Intelligence techniques – breathing techniques, movements, thought processes, and ways of communicating. You will be introduced to and will have an opportunity to practice using techniques that you can immediately start to apply in your own day to day life.

Today’s constantly changing, highly demanding world is having a measurable impact on organisations from leadership to teamwork, change readiness, innovation, wellness, etc. Physical Intelligence unlocks the secret to thriving in that demanding environment. Hundreds of chemicals racing through our bloodstreams dictate how we think, feel, speak and behave - ‘Physical Intelligence’ is our ability to detect and actively manage the balance of eight key chemicals in our bodies and brains in order to achieve more, stress less and live more happily.

The importance of IQ (cognitive intelligence) and EQ (emotional intelligence) have long been understood but less is widely known about Physical Intelligence. Research supports that Physical Intelligence doesn’t just sit alongside IQ and EQ, it underpins them – enhancing cognitive function and influencing our ability to live happy, fulfilled, successful lives. Using our Physical Intelligence, we can strengthen our cognitive function and alter our mood, emotional responses, stress, confidence and happiness levels at will – yet few people really know how to do this.
